The Context

The video on the right offers just one of many examples of what our youth do on a regular basis... they hold music and poetry events.

Across the country big and small events happen with frequency, and as the video shows the sale of CDs is a firm part of the culture.

Given the prominence of spoken word poetry in South African youth culture, it's a very safe bet to say the only reason books aren't selling in the same way is because no-one is bothering to sell them.

Ge'ko Brand Ambassadors

Ge'ko publishes books and music and is active in developing the careers of South Africa's emerging poets, writers and musicians.

We're setting up a team of brand ambassadors to create literacy reach in our urban areas, to expose our young writers to their actual audience and to create new business opportunities for arts entrepreneurs.

The ambassador bag is central to the whole thing - now we need someone to help us buy the bags we've designed.
