Ge'ko Publishing is a small publishing company jointly run by Unity and BKO. The idea behind the company is to ensure that some of the voices on the Joburg arts scene get heard, and that the artists are offered realistic opportunities to take ownership of their own careers. This means different business models worked out with each writer.
Books coming soon from Ge'ko include writers such as Dave Chislett, Nkosinathi Ngulube and others.Ge'ko is also very involved in the Urban writing project. Watch this space for more online and offline news on Urban.

 Meropa has been a stand out figure on the Joburg streets arts scene for several years already. Born and raised in Soweto's Zola region, he has developed a unique style and brand of music that mixes traditional themes and idioms with a hip hop ethos and the undeniable pull of a solo acoustic guitar.
