What the sailors saw. Part 1

Sailors were once lost in a great and mighty storm in the middle of the sea – darkness covered their immediate environment, the waters of the sea grew murkier and thicker by the second , making rowing an impossibility for the stranded soldiers.Time passed and the storm did not subside – many of the sailors became dehydrated , some lost all hope , while others contemplated throwing themselves into the waters – the boat staggered from the left to the right in total darkness, there was no room for faith let alone optimism.

Suddenly , lo and behold .....one sailor shouted ..”Look , look , look , the shore”

The sailors saw in the far distance , tropical trees , a little mountain and the close of the horizon.

However the shore became obscured by the storm and their ability to see clearly was challenged by the angered restless waters.

Moral of the story .

Beyond the perils and tempests of the sea , with fixed vision we can behold a blissful shore what keeps the sailors rowing is not their strength but their excitement at the sight of the shore afar off.
As the sailors keep looking at the shore , their sight is somewhat blurry because the tempestuous waters stagger not only their boats but also their ability to focus.

Consider the following -

1 :

Vision does not take place in the absence of opposition – there is always something that will obscure a good vision.

2 :

As the sailors keep rowing , the shore seems closer than before , with every glance the shore becomes more visible – even though practically speaking , it may be further than it was the first time they saw it –

Vision is so powerful , it motivates movement – it literally stops time. The sailors could keep rowing the entire night and not tire , so long as their eyes are still in sight of the shore , they will only get tired when their eyes stop seeing the shore , then and only then will their bodies register to their minds that they are tired.

3 :

When they get to the shore – Vision becomes reality - what they perceived , becomes , what was ,now is – that is why people who have accepted their vision before it became reality , have a sense of understanding and respect towards it , because they saw it – before it became.

The sea can be a dangerous place to be in because you and your little boat are nothing compared to the waters , because the waters of the sea are symbolic to the world.Your boat is representative of resources.

Compared to the rest of the world you are a peanut , the world is as vast as the sea , dangerous , murky and intimidating. There you are – the sea is before you , you are in your little boat armed with a lunch box stamina, some english and a matric certificate – you look at the size of your rowing stick and it seems to nearly break in half because the storms of the sea are so powerful -

It is natural to doubt your ability, especially when resources become threatened by environments. When what you depend on , becomes threatened by what is around you – it is time to leg go of the resources and look inside of you.

What makes you reach the shore is not the rowing stick but strength from within.

Dependence on external variables like rowing sticks and boats can get you lost in a whirlwind of despair.Grow to realise your capacity to influence the world by searching within , for power and the focus to maintain consistency in your sight – set your eyes upon the shore.

Beyond the Horizon - lies possibility and abundance
