Teboho Mofokeng is an incredible spoken word poet and performer working largely in Sesotho. Mofokeng, a founder of spoken word collective BKO, writes original material using the classic, age old idioms and styles of Sesotho oral culture. Combined with his 21st century, hip hop orientation, the result is an absolutely fresh performance that frequently brings South African audiences of all generations to tears, as well as fits of laughter.
Tebo works in the corporate world during the day, but has appeared on many stages and at many corporate and other events over the years, as well as featuring on the classic TV satire show, Kenny Mkhenzo. Listen!
