Prophet is active in many other areas besides perfromance poetry. He lives at the Credo Mutwa Culutral village in Soweto where he is furthering his studies of traditional African healing, wisdom and culutre. He also works frequently in the realm of video production, community interaction and consultation, as well as being a regular performer at events, corporate functions and launches.

Prophet JD is a very well known figure on the Joburg performing arts scene. His blistering performances in his native Sestwana and English draw on the classic African praise idioms and styles, but are always given a modern, 21st century twist. 
Lucabantu consists of two core members: Lucas Bonoko and Buntu Tembani. The group draws on the services of leading local artists and storytellers in its work, and has performed at a very wide range of high profile events over the years.
