Makamo was responsible for running the Artist Proof Studio gallery for several years since graduating, and during this time has particpated in a number of local and international exhibitions and has sold art to significant investors. Created by a famously hard worker, Makamo's art is charecteristed for the powerful way in which it addresses the clash of urban and rural lives and lifestyles in South Africa, amongst other themes. |
